How we install artificial grass
A lawn is only as good as what's beneath it. We excavate to the correct depth, lay and compact a MOT Type 1 sub-base for drainage, add a sharp sand or shock pad layer, and fit a weed membrane before rolling out the turf. Joins are made with specialist tape and adhesive, edges are fixed cleanly to timber or metal edging, and the surface is dressed with kiln-dried sand and brushed upright. Every stage is carried out by our own trained teams.
Sub-base, drainage and pets
Correct drainage is what keeps an artificial lawn usable for years. A free-draining sub-base allows rain and, in gardens with dogs, urine to disperse into the soil rather than pooling on the surface. For play areas we can add a shock pad underlay to meet critical fall height requirements. We'll advise on the right build-up for how your garden is used.
